Feeling a Little Better

Gosh this week has been rough!!!  I have been so sick that I haven't even felt like updating the blog until today.  The week before last Ely and I came down with a cold.  He didn't have a fever but since he was coughing so much I took him to the Dr and b/c of the amount of green snot they put him on antibiotics but said it just seemed like a sinus infection.  Last Wed. was his last round of medicine and he seemed to be much better.  Then by Sunday his cough was back only much worse this time, and he started waking up at night.. oh NO!!!  Then of course I start to get sick all over again on Tuesday... not even surprised this time.  We went back to the Dr. and this time they said he has a pretty bad ear infection.  I seriously was not going to leave that office until they diagnosed him with something... Mama knew something was wrong!!  So now he is back on different antibiotics (round 2).  I hope this time does the trick!  To make matters worse, he has had diarrhea for two weeks from the antibiotics, and now he is going to continue to have it b/c he just got back on more.  The poor little guy has diaper rash so bad that I have to use soap and warm water to clean him, meanwhile he is screaming his head off.  So SO not fun to do 4 or 5 times a day for either of us!!  I think today he actually feels better than I do.. but I have discovered a great remedy for a head cold.  Anyone ever heard of the Netty Pot?  It is amazing!  I have to give credit to my husband for trying it first and then twisting my arm to get me to try it.  It looks like a little tea pot and you litterly run saline from one side of your nose to the other.  Yes, it does feel like you are drowning a little bit :)  but it works so well!

Check out Ely's slippers!  Our floors are so cold, I bought these yesterday for him.  He looks so cute running around in them

One more picture of my smiling little boy.  I swear I haven't seen him laugh or smile all week until today!!

  1. Oh my gosh!! Poor Jaime!! That sounds awful. I'm glad you guys are starting to be on the mend a little bit. I've heard amazing things about the Netty pot but have been too chicken to try it.
