Got out of Bed

Today is the first day I got out of bed and am trying to go about my normal routine since Sat. morning.  I thought last Friday I was starting to feel better, but Friday night I took a turn for the worse.  I started sobbing to Mark on Sat. that I literally could not take care of Ely and he needed to take over.  To bed I went.  Well since my sinus infection was so bad, Sat night came the fever and then in the middle of the night I started feeling an excruciating pain from my left ear.  After a few hours of laying awake the pain subsided and I had blood and liquid running from my ear down my neck!  Sunday morning I went to urgent care and was diagnosed with a ruptured ear drum in my left ear and a middle ear infection in my right ear.  My fever was only about 100 but I started not being able to keep ANY food down.  So Monday morning the Dr. switched my antibiotics and gave me suppositories (those are fun :)), but the suppositories completely knock you out.  I woke up yesterday at 6pm with another low grade fever.  Ugh!  I also went to a different Dr. yesterday to look at the damage on my ear.  I have been keeping cotton in it to catch the drainage.  He said he can already see some scar tissue forming to start to close the hole in my eardrum.  I will need to go back in two weeks to see if it is closed, and if not they will put a small patch on my eardrum.  Right now I cannot hear out of it and there is a super loud ringing.  Annoying!  The good news is I was able to eat dinner last night and breakfast this morning and keep it down.  I don't have a fever today and Mark went to work.  Rita is coming over around 3pm today so I can get more rest. 
Ely is feeling much better!  He is still on his antibiotics and cough medicine AND still waking up at 6am!!!  Once I get to feeling better I need to tackle his sleep/nap situation and figure out why he is waking up so early.  I do know this last week he has watched more TV than ever in his life :) Oh well, we will get back to normalcy at some point!
