Look at this little monkey! This is his favorite toy right now.. the vacuum. And hearing him say "vacuum cleaner" is pretty hilarious. This thing goes with him to every room of the house, and is parked right next to his crib during the night and nap. His teachers at school told me today that Fynn has such and big personality and is just hilarious. I couldn't agree more. He ran up to me the other day and said " Hi Mom, Jaime" and cracks himself up as he says it.
He wanted me to keep taking pictures of him and his vacuum cleaner. The other day he said "excuse me mommy" as he needed to get by me to "clean up"
I had my first night alone with all 3 kids when Mark had to travel the other day. It went quite well with only some minor chaotic moments :) I made a fort for the boys while I fed Zander - here they are in the fort. Can their eyes get any bluer?
The mishaps of our first night at home without Daddy -
Things actually went smoothly until the next morning when I was trying to get the boys ready for school, and nurse Zander etc. First, I forgot the Alarm was on, and opened the back door to let Henry out. Yes, I scared and woke up the whole house. I was so mad at myself! As I was nursing I was so happy that the boys were playing together so well. I should have known it was too quiet.. they were drilling a hole in the playroom wall. Yep! Ely said "We tried to make one in Fynn's room too." Luckily that one was unsuccessful. Then, as I was getting Zander dressed (already running late to school) he had a major blowout and there was a knock at the door.. right at the same time. I forgot the pest control was coming out. After I talk to the guy, and direct him to the backyard, Ely lets himself out the back door and the next thing I know, he has a broom and is helping the "bug guy" swat down the spider webs! Then.... they found a dead rat. Ely was beside himself with excitement. Gross - and so not what I want to be dealing with right now! What a crazy morning.. but I finally got them to school in one piece!

A few Ely stories to share -
Ely and I were playing a game that made a noise every time Ely got the correct answer. It is a puppy dog pen, and it laughs and shakes when the correct answer is pressed. Ely said "It's freaking out"
When we walk out of school, the rule is for Fynn to either hold my hand or Ely's hand when we walk to the car. Ely told Fynn "Fynn, you have to hold my hand or Mommy's hand, promise?" So cute!
One of the boys favorite thing to do is hammer a large block of ice to get the animals out ( I freeze water with plastic animals inside a large container) Ely says "I'm going to bang my heart out"
