Opi and Ely's trip to Lake Tahoe

This year, for Opi's 65th Birthday, we surprised him with a trip to Lake Tahoe.. but it wasn't just any trip, he got to have one on one time with his oldest grandson.  My Aunt rented a place for the week, and the whole family got to go.  Unfortunately this family had to stay behind since Mr. Zander Colt is so little.  My parents were not planning on going either, so we surprised my Dad with the tickets.  Needless to say, they had a blast!

This is Ely's cousin Cody.  Ever since Cody and his Mom came to stay with us for a few weeks when Ely was only 18 months old, Ely has never forgotten him.  He and Cody only get to see each other about twice a year, but Ely always asks about him, and says he is his best friend.  Ely was thrilled to hear that Cody would be "in the mountains with him"

Once they got back, Ely wants to have no part in Dallas.  One day we were driving to the grocery store and Ely said "Mommy, I don't like this city"  "I want a new Mommy and Daddy so I can live in the mountains."
So funny.  I reassured him we would be going back to the mountains again next summer!
