Yesterday Ely came home from Aba and Baba's house with a swollen jawline that got worse as the day went on. Daddy took him to the after hours pediatric office down the street from us and they said it was an infected lymph node but that since he didn't have a fever it wasn't contagious and he just needed to be on antibiotics. Unfortunately I googled "child with mumps" and freaked out because it looked just like Ely!!! But everything I read said you have a fever with the mumps and he has of course had his vaccine. This just seems to be very swollen to be an infected lymph node...
This was from this morning at it's worst. I am glad I took this because I am now for sure that he looked much better tonight when I put him to bed. So sad, he is doing hook em horns.. awe Ely.. poor thing. He looks SO different! He got to have nutella and toast this morning since we feel so sorry for him :(
Side view.. just crazy. I have another Dr. appointment scheduled for tomorrow in case I don't see drastic improvement in the morning.
