We are in Park City for the month and loving every minute of it! I have been pretty bad about taking pictures because we have been so busy, so these are a few I took from my phone. The kids are playing and getting along so well, it just wouldn't be the same not having the Kirby's here with us. It is great to just sit back and watch them having such a good time. I think Ely has found a new girlfriend in Ayla, even demanding that she bathe with him every night.
This is the front of our place. The bounce house blew half way over the ravine this morning, luckily noone was in it when that happened!!!!
It was Porter's birthday yesterday, so we celebrated Super Hero style! Our houses are walking distance from a lake (The Jordanelle) which has been awesome! They have several beaches where the kids can play in the water and build sand castles. We had Porter's birthday party at the beach yesterday evening and watched the sun set. It was beautiful and I am sure none of us will ever forget it! Here is our little batman.
The other day Shelley and I went shopping on Main Street in Park City (only about 7 min from our house) and the Dad's were in charge of dinner and bedtime. They did a great job (with a drink in hand of course :) We were gone from about 2:00 to 8:00, and when we got home, Todd had cooked for us! The next morning, Ely woke up saying he wanted "bones" for breakfast. I was like "um, Daddy, what happened last night?" Apparently, they had drumsticks for dinner.. and now they want "bones" ALL the time!
Ely, Ayla, and Porter eating their bones
Fynn has taken it all in like a champ. He and Strat try to be right in the mix with the big kids. Sometimes he has to sit in his stroller and watch and he is not always too happy about that.
We absolutely love it here. Honestly none of us want to come back! We have had a better time than we could have ever imagined. Luckily we still have 3 weeks left! This is the view from the balcony at our house. We all eat outside on the balcony for pretty much every meal.
We took the kids to Monkey Mountain to play. Fynn owned this elephant!!
We have also spent quite a bit of time on Main Street. It is such a quaint street with boutiques, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants. I would love to see it in the snow! Every Sunday is called Park Silly and they close off the street for a farmers market. They have bounce houses, face painting, street vendors with clothes etc, and tons of yummy food. It was awesome!
Strat and Fynn are buddies. Mirna (the Kirby's nanny) has been such an enormous help. She and Fynn have bonded and it is super cute.
The kids love the water and beach. Ely and Ayla playing in the sand
Looks like such a fun trip! Enjoy every moment of it!
