Our Trip to Glen Rose

Since it was Ely's spring break, we took a very last minute 2 night trip to Glen Rose, and it totally exceeded our expectations.  We decided to stay at Country Woods Inn which is a kid friendly bed and breakfast.  This place was amazing and we are now talking about going every fall and spring.  There are 10 or so little cabins/farm houses spread out over about 100 acres.  We actually got to stay in a train rail car!  Ely was ecstatic!!  It even had a small kitchen and was actually roomier than we thought.  They boys slept right next to each other and did great.

There is a river that runs through the property, and was so shallow we could walk through it.  Ely was saying "whoah, careful" as the small waves trickled by

Of course we could not get him out of the water!!

For Ely, the animals were the best part.  He played with them for hours!

The next day we headed out to Fossil Rim where you get to drive through and feed the animals that roam freely over hundreds of acres.  The best was when the animals came right up to the car and ate out of your hand!

Both boys had a blast.  Even Fynn was laughing and giggling out of excitement when the animals would walk (or run :) to the car.

Ely gasped when he saw the giraffe.  He talked about feeding a giraffe for days before we left for our trip.

Back at the Inn, Fynn enjoyed a bath all to himself.  Ely got to shower with Mama.  Look at this cute little baby in this giant old bathtub :)

We had such an great time, we cannot wait to go back again!!  It will be fun to watch two little boys running around next time!
