Starting to Click

We have gone through several different stages of Ely getting warmed up to his brother and I think we have finally gotten to where I imagined it would be!  I had heard it would take about 4 months for the older sibling to get used to the younger one and that was exactly right.  The "newness" of Fynn has worn off a little bit for Ely (which is actually a good thing!) so he now knows that his brother is here to stay.  He also is not ALL over him anymore!  For the first couple of months he was so enthralled by Fynn he wanted to touch him, lay on him, feed him (human food), take his clothes off etc. Which was all cute.. but his rough hands with an infant made me nervous.. and lets not forget the times he wanted Fynn to leave and tried to throw him out of his bouncy chair!  However, we are in a much better place now.  Here are some pictures of Fynn (he is 16 weeks in these... he turned 17 weeks today!)

The other day Fynn was crying and Ely went and got his paci saying "no crying Fynn, no crying Fynn" He gently put the paci in Fynn's mouth and then turned on the vibrating part of his bouncy chair.  It worked!  Fynn stopped crying and Ely felt so proud of himself

Fynn is getting so strong.  He has started laughing, and can grab his toys under his play gym.  He can even grab them so hard he pulls them off.  I can tell he feels a sense of accomplishment when they come off :)  I started feeding him rice cereal a few days ago and he has done very well with that.  I am impressed at how well he sits in his bumbo.  I can't believe he will be 4 months old on Friday!!
