Meat Fest 2011

Yesterday marked the first of what will become the annual "Meat Fest" contest.  Our friend Todd Kirby was the mastermind behind this fun filled event.  The idea is that the guys each grill up a "special meat" and then the girls get to judge.  We were rating best taste, best presentation, and best name.  He even made score cards and name tags.. this was not for amatures!!  Prizes were awarded to the winners, however that is when some of the pictures got incriminating, so I will have to leave those off the blog :)  And since we will be printing this blog for our parents and kids one day, I will have to leave the names of the dishes off as well :)

So during "guy time" the girls were not allowed to be around because the boys were supposed to be preparing their meat -  or so we thought.  Hello Larry!.. watcha doin in there?

Not sure who or what is coming down Ely's slide for Todd to catch.. and not sure I want to find out!

Finally... hard at work in the kitchen.  I love how guys use every dish in every cabinet when they cook..haha!!

The Grand Prize went to....drum roll... Mr Courtney Lindley for his outstanding ribs!
