Big Brother Ely wore his best attire for the event. He even had a sport coat to go on top!!
He wanted to play a little guitar before we left the house
Look how handsome he looks walking in with Opi and Gigi!!
Intently listening to the Rabbi
The Rabbi had chosen a speech for me to say. It was a beautiful speech, but I could not even read one line in my head without starting to cry!! So to make things a little less stressful, I read something different at the Bris. However, this speech touched my heart, so I wanted to write it down here so I would always remember.
With all my heart, with all my soul, with all my might, I thank you, God, for the gift of this wonderful child. I thank you for the strength and hope during pregnancy, and delivery, and for a speedy recovery.
With all my heart, with all my soul, with all my might, I pray for the continued health of this child. I pray for him to be strong in mind and body, to grow steadily and sturdily in a home filled with joy. I pray for him to become a person who greets the world with passion, courage, humility, humor and patience.
With all my heart, with all my soul, with all my might, I pray for God to watch over me and my family. I pray for the ability to love and nurture this child, to provide for him and to educate him, to understand him and to allow him the freedom to grow.
Holding my Baby
Opi carrying him in for the start of the ceremony
Joseph (Aba) held him for the "snip snip" I closed my eyes. I actually held up much better this time than at Ely's. I think it is because I knew what to expect this time and that it only hurts them for a couple of seconds.
All Done!! He is happy on some wine :) See, he's not even crying and this is 2 seconds after his "surgery"
The ceremony was wrapped up by the Grandmothers reading a speech. All and All it was a beautiful ceremony and we LOVE Rabbi Mike! I wish he lived in Dallas! We have to fly him in for our Bris's.
