A Day in the Life of Ely, Fynn, and Zander: First Real Sentence!

Ely's vocabulary has pretty much exploded over the last few weeks. I have lost track of how many words he can say, some being very clear, others not so much i.e. "candy" sounds like "ne ne". One I really like is "milk" sounds like "nook". And we can't forget that he combines garbage and trash to make "garsh"

However, he had not made out a clear sentence in my mind until today! He talks and talks away, but I usually can't make out the string of words he is putting together. After dinner, he went to the back door and said "outside now" (one of his "two worders" that have begun to add up lately! ) He then went and brought his shoes to me and said "Mama, shoes on now." I clapped and told him what he had just accomplished!!

Also, as of a few days ago he can clearly say his name. He used to just say "E".. but now he can say the "l" and "y" as well. Ely can also repeat a sentence one word at a time as I say it to him...i.e " Can I have a cookie" He will say " Ca... I... Ha... A..cookie"

We then went outside to play! We had to pull Ely's hair back to keep him cool.. (Actually, it is because I had found him in my bathroom earlier that day putting on my makeup, and the only way I could get him to put my mascara away and stop rubbing it all over his face was to tell him we could put his hair in a ponytail like Mama's)
