21 Month Milestones

Our big guy turned 21 months a few days ago.  He has finally gotten the concept of what to do when a camera is pointed at him.  He gives us the BIGGEST grin he can muster up.  I love it.  Look at this grin and excuse the excess food all over his face :)

Ely is becoming much more verbal!  We have noticed a big difference in the last month.  He points to everything and calls it something, so technically those are "words" (i.e. he pointed to a baby the other day and said Ba), but he has started saying several words very clear and consistently that we can totally understand.  Ely can say

• Mama
• Dada
• Baba
• Gigi
• All Done (says All Done and signs it at the same time)
• Outside
• Juice
• Night Night
• Hello
• When we count to 3 he says 2 on his own
• Dog, although sometimes it come out Boo ( we don't know why :)
• Owl
• Oh No
• Uh Oh

He has quite the personality!  He laughs and smiles more than he ever has in his life and that is just a joy to us.  We officially dropped his morning nap about 3 weeks ago.  He is back to waking up at 7:00 - 7:30 am .  Thank goodness!!  Right now he has to go down for his nap at noon, so it makes for a long afternoon (he wakes at 2) but I am hoping with time I can push that back and also that he will sleep a little longer. 

The other day he spilled some water in the other room, and he ran to the kitchen where Mark and I were saying "OH NO", "OH NO", over and over.  Mark and I thought he was saying it just to say it.  Mark decided he would go check it out just to make sure.  Mark came back laughing so hard saying we better start listening to the little guy,  he is really communicating with us!! 

He has found quite the love for lollipops.  He eats them in .2 seconds!
