On the 1st Night of Hanukkah...

Words can't even describe... here is a picture play by play of our first night of Hanukkah

Literally jumping up and down.. bring on the presents Mom and Dad!!

First up.. Elmo books!!  We heart Elmo!  He sat and flipped through them for awhile before we opened the next gift

Major frustration with the decor string on the box! Grrr...

Ahhh.. There we go.  We are SO good at unwrapping this year.  All of our toilet paper/tissue paper shredding has paid off :)

And what do we have?  The 3 little pigs and their houses plus the big bad wolf!  BTW, that smirk is not excitement over the toy, but the fact that he just had a super loud toot.  It makes me laugh so so hard that he laughs at his burps and toots.. I mean really? Is he a boy or what?

Winner!!  This will probably hands down be his favorite toy this Hanukkah.  Ely loves.. LOVES to push things, and this push toy has balls that pop up when you push it.  We could not take him away from this toy the rest of the night.

On a side note, Ely has started doing something new.  I wouldn't necessarily say this is something we want him to do.. but we are not quite ready to tell him "no" b/c of the absurd amount of laughter we get from this.  Our son has started smelling his food before he eats it!  The other day I thought it was a fluke thing, but no, he consistently smells every non familiar food before he tries it.  We are talking dramatically lowering his whole face down to his plate and sniffing with his nose.  I totally know I used to do this as a kid, but like elementary age!   I will have my camera ready the next time he does it... priceless!!
