Photo Shoot Round 2

So today was the big day of trying to get a decent photo of Ely for our family holiday card.  When I say the word decent, I don't mean cute of course :), but my requests are.. staying still, looking at the camera, and a smile would be a plus as well!  Those 3 things are very hard for a strong willed toddler on the go!  First things first... Did I mention he got a fat lip last night?  Yep, on the eve of our photo shoot round II, Ely was running through the house, fell, and came running to me with blood running out of his mouth!  There wasn't much I could do, b/c Ely with an ice pack = Wow this is a new toy to play with!  Here is a picture of his lovely lip.

Oh, and that cut on his cheek?  Yeah, not sure how that got there! That was a different incident than the lip, but he was stealth on that one.  I had to put some makeup on it today.

So as planned, Andrea Tatum and Britt came over so we could help each other out taking our family photo pictures.  Not surprising, her kids had like 30 great pics!  Here is one of them

Meanwhile, Ely is over playing with what I thought were some rocks while he was waiting for his turn.  I walk over to him and he turns to me covered in mud.  I mean covered!  It is all over his mouth, under his fingernails, and all over his clothes.  As I go to pick him up, I notice he has a mouth full of something. I was scared to find out what it was!  I held out my hand for him to spit, and out comes chewed up berries from the shrubs lining our sidewalk.  To him they looked like blueberries, but for all I know they could make him sick!  Opi to the rescue!  I urgently called him and he reassured me that Ely just got a few extra vitamins for the day.  I think he said something like "he's a boy, that's what they do".. and I could tell him had a huge grin across his face when he said it.  I don't have any pictures to post of Ely's photo shoot quite yet.  The reason is because there is only ONE he sat still for.. and that one picture will soon be mailed out on our family holiday card!
